The Lanark game was in contrast to the two previous matches in that we started the game brightly and came out of the blocks well to score in the first minute. We had some good spells throughout the game and I felt that up until the penalty we were looking comfortable. I thought the penalty itself was questionable although we abide by the referee’s decision. It was however harsh on the players who seemed well in control up to that point, but after converting the penalty Lanark seemed to gain in confidence and began to take the game to us. We certainly defended much better as a back four which was pleasing to see and Yamikani Misanjo continued his good form and notched his first goal for the club.
We’ve a couple of enforced changes for the Blantyre Vics match although Marc Howson and Tony Traynor both come back into contention. Although it’s disappointing from a continuity perspective, it’s an opportunity for others to take their chance and show us what they can do.
