30th July 2015 – Forth 3 Lanark 5

In a repeat of the 2012 scoreline, the Wanderers lost 5-3 to Lanark United in the Clydesdale Cup semi-final at Kingshill Park this evening. In a fairly even first half, Alan Christie gave the Wanderers an early lead with a powerful strike before the visitors leveled things 5 minutes before the break. It looked all over when Lanark scored again on the hour mark and then notched a third with 15 minutes remaining but the Wanderers had other ideas. A fine goal from Martin Hannaway reduced the deficit on 80 minutes before Alan Christie equalised with another piledriver two minutes later to restore parity. However, two late Lanark goals saw them through to face Lesmahagow in the final on Monday.

20th July 2015 – West Calder 1 Forth 2

The Wanderers defeated West Calder United by two goals to one at Hermand Park this evening. Two well taken second half goals by impressive new signing Willie McClaren sealed victory for the Forth. In addition there were many positives to take from the game, not least an excellent performance by new midfielder John Rennie who at times was a joy to behold.

18th July 2015 – Forth 3 Rossvale 4

The Wanderers pre-season began with a 4-3 defeat to Rossvale at Kingshill Park this afternoon. Forth could have few complaints to find themselves 3-0 down at the interval and things worsened further when the visitors made it 4-0 early in the second half. However, after Rossvale were, somewhat harshly, reduced to 10 men, the Wanderers launched a stirring fightback, with new signing Martin Hannaway notching a second half hat-trick to make the final score 4-3. The big striker had another in the net but was correctly ruled offside, although his first from an overhead kick will live long in the memory.
