The Wanderers lost 3-0 to Shotts this afternoon at Kingshill Park. Despite having the better of the first half, the closest Forth came was through a Kris Dick screamer which rebounded from the underside of the bar, although the loss of Jordan Smith just before the break was arguably an even bigger blow. 16th August 2014 – Newmains 3 Forth 4
With the Wanderers 3-0 up after a mere 16 minutes and having missed a penalty to boot, it looked a case of how many against Newmains at Victoria Park this afternoon. However, a resilient United came storming back and in a crazy 5 minute spell just after the hour mark they pulled 2 goals back and missed a penalty before Forth gave themselves daylight with a 4th on 73 minutes. Even then, Newmains reduced the deficit with virtually the last kick of the game. Jamie Lindsay hit a double, having missed a first minute penalty, and the other Wanderers goals came from Martin Harty and Andrew Gilchrist. Ex-Forth man Bryan Felvus was dismissed for the hosts.

9th August 2014 – Forth 0 Wishaw 3
A disappointing performance from the Wanderers, missing 8 players for a variety of reasons, saw Wishaw emerge victorious by 3 goals to nil at Kingshill Park this afternoon. Forth began brightly but Wishaw fought their way back into the game to lead 1-0 at half time through a spectacular strike from Keiran Downs. Second half goals from Jason Thomson and Clark Rafferty from the penalty spot sealed the victory. Both teams finished with ten men, Rafferty of Wishaw and Robbie Brown of Forth both receiving their marching orders in the second half.
