22nd May 2013 – JC Hutchison Wins Supporters Player of the Year

 Congratulations to keeper JC Hutchison on deservedly winning the Forth Wanderers Supporters Player of the Year 2012/13. A trophy presentation will take place prior to a home game early next season.

20th May 2013 – Johnstone Burgh 3 Forth 0

 Forth completed their league campaign tonight, losing 3-0 to Johnstone Burgh at Keanie Park. Congratulations to the Burgh on achieving the final promotion place and commiserations to Wishaw who ran them so close.

15th May 2013 – Management Changes

 Wanderers Manager Jamie McKenzie has left the club by mutual consent. Everyone at Forth would like to thank Jamie for his committed service over the past two years and wish him every success in the future. After discussions this evening, the committee have moved swiftly to appoint Chris McGroarty as player/manager. Chris will be assisted by Ian Mathers. Chris has starred in the Wanderers midfield for the last couple of years and everyone at the club is delighted he has agreed to take on the role. Chris had this to say, “I’m excited about the challenge which lies ahead and, rest assured, Ian and I will do our utmost to bring success to the club.”

13th May 2013 – Burgh Game Postponed Again

 Tonight’s fixture was called off by the referee at 7pm due to an extremely waterlogged pitch. It has been re-scheduled for next Monday, 20th May.

11th May 2013 – Burgh Game Postponed

 Today’s game at Johnstone Burgh has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. It has been re-arranged for Monday 13th May with a 7:15pm kick off.

1st May 2013 – Forth 0 Cambuslang 3

 Cambuslang won 3-0 at Kingshill tonight to lift the Central 2nd Division title, Steven McLung helping himself to a first half hat-trick.

28th April 2013 – Maryhill 3 Forth 2

 The Wanderers lost 3-2 to Maryhill at Lochburn Park yesterday. Despite going three down just after the break, Forth launched a comeback with goals from Marc Howson and Chris Gordon before Gordon hit the post and Martin Harty volleyed just over at the death. 25th April 2013 – Signing News – Yamikani Misanjo

 Exciting forward Yamikani Misanjo has become the latest player to put pen to paper and sign an extension for next season.

24th April 2013 – Forth 1 Wishaw 3

 The Wanderers lost 3-1 to Wishaw tonight at the Beltane, Chris Gordon putting Forth ahead after good work from Craig Crawford before Wishaw equalised just on half time. Two second half goals sealed the points for Wishaw and to make matters worse for Forth, Crawford was sent off at the death. A match report can be found here and a few photos here.

24th April 2013 – Venue Switch Tonight – Forth v Wishaw

 Tonight’s match against Wishaw has been switched to the Beltane with Kingshill Park unplayable. Kick off is now 7pm.

20th April 2013 – JC Hutchison Re-signs

 The Wanderers are pleased to announce that influential goalkeeper JC Hutchison has put pen to paper and re-signed for the coming season. Midfielder Paul Cawley has also signed on as manager Jamie McKenzie builds for next season.

20th April 2013 – Forth 3 Vale of Clyde 0

 An excellent performance from the Wanderers saw them defeat Vale of Clyde 3-0 at Kingshill Park this afternoon. The goals came from Tony Traynor/Craig Crawford and two Yamikani Misanjo penalties. Some photos from the match can be found here and a match report here.

18th April 2013 – Contract Extensions

 The Wanderers are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Glenn Weir and midfielder Allan Stevenson have signed contract extensions, keeping both at the club next season.

14th April 2013 – Forth 2 Royal Albert 2

 Forth drew 2-2 with Royal Albert at Kingshill Park yesterday,Yamikani Misanjo notching both Wanderers goals. Some photos from the game can be found here and a match report here.

6th April 2013 – Forth 1 Rossvale 2

 Forth lost 2-1 to Rossvale at Kingshill Park this afternoon. Yamikani Misanjo netted the Wanderers goal from the penalty spot in the first half, but two second half goals saw the vistors leave with the three points. Some photos from the match can be found here and a match report here.

Forth lost 3-1 to Vale of Leven at Kingshill this afternoon, Craig Crawford notching the Wanderers goal. Despite an improved second half showing the Wanderers could not claw back a 3-0 interval deficit. Some photos can be found here and a match report here.

21st February 2013 – Additions to the Coaching Staff

 The Wanderers are pleased to announce the addition of Whitey Moffat and Terry McGroarty to the coaching staff. Both men reacted positively when the club approached them and everyone at Forth is delighted to welcome them on board.

 Tomorrow’s game against Vale of Clyde has been postponed due to a frozen Kingshill Park. Instead the Wanderers will face Newmains in a league game at Wishaw Sports Centre with a 1pm kick off.

4th February 2013 – Martin Lauchlan Resigns

 Assistant Manager Martin Lauchlan has resigned from his post with immediate effect. Forth Wanderers would like to thank Martin for his hard work and efforts and wish him every success in his future endeavours.

8th January 2013 – Gordon Murphy signs for Carluke Rovers

 Wanderers stalwart Gordon Murphy has signed for Carluke Rovers after almost 7 years at Kingshill Park, during which he weighed in with his fair share of goals, including a cracker against Glencairn recently. Everyone at Forth would like to wish Gordon every success at his new club.

3rd January 2013 – Maryhill Game Moved to Carluke

 Saturday’s fixture against Maryhill has been moved to the John Cumming Stadium in Carluke. Please note,the kick off is now 15:00 rather than 13:45.

 I was down at the Clyde Gateway Stadium this morning and had a chat with the Glencairn secretary, Alex Forbes, who invited me to take a walk on the pitch and see conditions for myself. Soggy with small patches of surface water at the moment, so unless the rain ceases and the wind gets up, it’s looking like another blank Saturday for the Wanderers.
