20th November 2016 – Maryhill 2 Forth Wanderers 0
The Wanderers exited the Scottish Cup losing 2-0 to Maryhill at Lochburn Park yesterday. Two late, late goals were the difference between the sides and the Forth can feel aggrieved not to have earned at least a draw after a fine team performance in the Maryhill mud. Despite playing the vast majority of the second half with 10 men after Craig Gupwell received a second yellow, the Wanderers came close on a number of occasions before the sucker punches at the death.
5th November 2016 – Forth Wanderers 2 Vale of Clyde 4
The Wanderers lost 4-2 to Vale of Clyde at Kingshill this afternoon in a disappointing match. Forth found themselves two goals down after 35 minutes to good finishes from Koulder-Alssa and Glackin but a good ten minutes just prior to the interval saw Warren Grenfell blast home before, in almost a carbon copy of last week, John Watson met a McLaren corner and rifled it into the net.
Lachlan Tait had a great chance to give Forth the lead early in the second half but headed over from close range and Vale grew in confidence as the half wore on and tied up the points with another two goals from the impressive Koulder-Alssa, to leave the Wanderers second bottom of the table.
